We have an immediate vacancy for Lactation Educators.This position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of the First Five L.A. Friendly Hospital Project. Will be responsible for providing breastfeeding, education, instruction and hands on assistance to patients, family and nursing staff. Additional responsibilities include submittal of required reports and deliveries as indicated in the scope of work. Will collaborate with finance to maintain all budgeted requirements, collect and report the required PI audits and track nursing education and reinforce breast feeding guidelines.
Requirements:Certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultants (BLCE), California LVN license required.Two years Lactation Educator experience required.Knowledgeable with breastfeeding process, antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum healthcare psychosocial issues.
