BreastfeedLA is pleased to announce our 2023 equity summit titled, Lactation Justice: Activating Our Community Response. The goal of our equity summit is to pinpoint the structural and institutional saboteurs of lactation and to establish innovative strategies to overcome them so that families can meet their infant feeding goals.

We welcome all birth workers, lactation support providers, families providing human milk to their little ones, breast/chestfeeding advocates, community health workers, hospital stakeholders, physicians, doulas, midwives, nurses and anyone else who serves the breast/chestfeeding dyad to attend this event.

This effort will ensure that we find solutions to long standing inequities in human milk feeding.

The summit is a hybrid event. In-person attendees will have access to all in-person sessions and activities at the California Endowment on October 12th-13th, 2023. In-person attendees will also have access to watch all pre-recorded and live streamed sessions on the Whova web application for up to three months following the summit. Our remote audience will view live streams of plenary sessions. The remote audience will have access to pre-recorded sessions on the Whova web application for up to three months following the summit.
