Introducing our 2026–2031 Strategic Plan
We’re proud to share BreastfeedLA’s 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, a bold, community-rooted roadmap for the next five years of our work.
This plan was shaped through deep listening, reflection, and collaboration with our board, staff, community partners, support group families, lactation professionals, and supporters across Southern California. It reflects who we are, what we’ve learned, and where we’re going.
At its core, the plan recommits us to advancing infant feeding equity and the holistic well-being of families through advocacy, education, outreach, and direct support. Over the next five years, we will deepen our impact by:
- Advancing policy and systems change that protect lactation rights and first food justice
- Expanding culturally centered education and workforce development
- Increasing access to trauma-informed, community-based lactation support
- Strengthening our organizational sustainability and accountability to the communities we serve
Grounded in our values of radical inclusion, connectedness, service, liberation, and transformation, this strategic plan is our collective response to persistent inequities in maternal and infant health, and our commitment to building a future where all families can thrive and feed their infants how they choose.
We invite you to read the full plan and join us as we bring this vision to life over the next five years.
